Removing unwanted salts and water from crude oil is an age-old problem, and NATCO has pioneered and commercialized the most effective technology solutions for crude oil dehydration and desalting available in the industry. We couldn’t settle for just single field AC electrostatic treating; it doesn’t provide the electrostatic muscle needed for some of the industry’s most difficult crude feedstocks. Since introducing our patented Dual Polarity® technology in the 1970s, our technology has out performed mechanical and conventional single-field AC electrostatic treaters, with our unique self-adjusting AC and DC fields working together, in hundreds of applications.
Our newest generation Dual Frequency® technology builds upon years of research and innovation to produce a customized electrostatic field that can be readily optimized for any crude oil, even heavy crudes and highly-conductive refinery crude blends. And our Electro-Dynamic® Desalter, provides two-stage desalting in a single vessel, when performance, cost and footprint are your primary drivers.
